Ningaloo Marine Interactions

Who we are

Ningaloo Marine Interactions have been operating tours out of Coral Bay since 2011. The owners have resided in Coral Bay for over 15 years and have a passion for the Ningaloo Reef and a fierce guardianship over its protection.

Meet the crew

Frazer McGregor

Frazer McGregor has been a tour guide and skipper for 10 of his 15 years in Coral Bay, and has spent the last 9 completing a PhD in marine ecology at Murdoch University.
Frazer’s thesis has been instrumental in the implementation of the Manta Ray Identification catalogue. His research has collected data on almost 800 different manta rays that visitors have the opportunity to interact with.

Colin Walker

Col has been a member of the Coral Bay community for 15 years. Over this time he has been a quad bike tour leader and the skipper of the renowned Coral Breeze. He has a love of the ocean and an appreciation of all the creatures that inhabit it. He is a fountain of knowledge and is a well-respected and trusted skipper.

Vikki Hoff

The lovely Vik joins our crew this year as our main deckhand and swimmer. Vikki is a certified PADI Dive instructor and has over 8 years’ experience with our beautiful mantas… she has coined the phrase ‘Manta Therapy’ and honestly believes (as we all do) that everyone needs to experience it regularly. She is passionate about protecting the reef for future generations and has implemented a Reef Check program for divers and snorkelers to report on the changing conditions of the reef and the marine life.

The Ningaloo Marine Interactions team invite you to join us aboard ‘Utopia’. Our shallow, reef friendly vessel has a spacious fully shaded deck, an air-conditioned cabin and comfy seating on the fly bridge for optimum wildlife viewing. Our tours are EDU-TOURS and draw upon a wealth of knowledge gathered from our very own marine biologist and over 20 years combined crew experience in the Ningaloo area. We offer you the chance to participate in research and give you the opportunity to name any newly discovered Manta Rays! It is our mission to pass on our knowledge and encourage all our guests to join us in protecting our oceans, its reef systems and its inhabitants. We offer a range of tours Half Day Manta Ray interaction, Full Day Marine interaction, 2 hour whale watching cruise or join us exclusively!

We provide:

  • Snorkel Equipment
  • Wetsuits
  • Use of polarized sunglasses
  • Lunch (or snacks for Whale Watching Cruise)
  • Tea, Coffee and Chilled water
  • Morning tea
  • Option to purchase a photo CD of your interaction tour!

We are committed to working towards providing a fantastic experience for all of our customers while maintaining the importance of sustainability in the Marine Park for future generations.
